Beginning with highlighting 15 small businesses to bring awareness to Latina Equal Pay Day, Mujeres Mercado has grown to be the largest and only nonprofit market serving traditionally marginalized entrepreneurs – Latinas specifically.
Year to date the Mujeres Mercado has generated, and supported over 1 million dollars in economic impact.
The amount of money generated within a few hours of the Mujeres Mercado operation is remarkable. However, providing a semi-permanent storefront for businesses would make an exponential difference, significantly increasing the overall economic impact for our communities.
